Leaders KSA 2020: Future of Construction panel revealed

HKA, Reed Smith, Mott MacDonald and Resa Gulf Scaffolding will debate what the future holds for KSA’ The Future of Construction in Saudi Arabia's Construction Sector will start from 1:05pm (KSA) on 30 September by Ashley Williams23 Sep 2020 As our Leaders KSA Summit edges closer, Construction Week is delighted to confirm our speakers for the penultimate panel of the conference – The Future of Construction in Saudi Arabia. Joining us 1:05pm (KSA) and 2:05pm (Dubai) on 30 September will be HKA’s partner John McKevitt, the head of the Middle East for Reed Smith, Sachin Kerur, Mott MacDonald’s managing director, Christopher Seymour, and Resa Gulf Scaffolding general manager Ash Arshad. The discussion will entail a range of topics including the comparisons of Saudi Arabia’s construction market today compared to a decade ago, the acceleration of entertainment construction such as cinemas and theme parks, changes in procurement and demand for private-public partnerships. The Leaders KSA event will be split across two days starting on the 29 September at 1:05pm (KSA time) and 2:05pm (Dubai time) and end on the following day at 2:35pm (KSA time) and 3:35pm (Dubai time). The first day’s discussions will feature ‘Sustainability in the Saudi Arabia Construction Sector’ and Looking at ‘Saudi Arabia’s Gigaprojects’, while the second day will include ‘The Future of Construction in Saudi Arabia’ and conclude with exploring the ‘Design and Rise of Modular Construction in Saudi Arabia’. We have already revealed that Saudi Contractors Authority’s governor Eng. Thabet Al-Sawyeed will deliver our keynote speech on day one of the conference. We will also be joined by AMAALA’s head of business development, Stephen Chessebrough, NEOM’s chief projects officer, Brett Smythe, Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s chief design & development officer, Jonathan Timms, and Depa Interior’s director Abdoullah Albizreh for our gigaproject panel at 2pm (KSA) and 3pm (Dubai) on the 29 September. Meanwhile, we also released our speakers for our Sustainability in Saudi Arabia’s Construction Sector panel which will feature AESG’s managing director, Saeed Al Abbar, Cundall’s head of sustainability and partner, Alan Fogarty, and Katerra’s director of material sciences Mohamed Kassim. We will be revealing our final panel – Design and Rise in Modular Construction – from tomorrow. The Leaders KSA Summit will be hosted and moderated by Construction Week’s editor Ashley Williams.
